Tarapur Vidya Mandir and Jr. College Organizes Seminar on 'Adolescent Concerns'



On July 2, 2025, Tarapur Vidya Mandir and Jr. College hosted a seminar on 'Adolescent Concerns', a timely and crucial topic for students of standard 7 to 10. The seminar was conducted separately for girls and boys, with Dr. Anshu Sinha and Dr. Zuned Qureshi, TVM alumni, serving as coaches and counselors for the program.

The seminar covered essential topics, including¹:

- Personal Hygiene: Maintaining good personal hygiene during adolescence.

- Junk Food and Reproductive Health: The impact of junk food on reproductive health, including PCOD, obesity, irregular periods, and low sperm count.

- Good and Bad Touch: Understanding the difference between good and bad touch, and how to respond to uncomfortable situations.

- Social Media and Cyberbullying: The risks associated with social media, including chatting with unknown people, posting and sharing explicit content, and cyberbullying.

- Body Shaming and Bullying: The impact of body shaming and bullying on a person's mental health and well-being.

- Managing Physical and Emotional Attractions: How to navigate physical and emotional attractions, and the difference between infatuation and real love.

- Mental Health: Understanding depression, anxiety, mood swings, and sleep disruptions.

- Substance Abuse and Academic Stress: The risks associated with experimentation with alcohol and drugs, and managing academic stress and overthinking.

- Communication with Parents: The importance of effective communication with parents and not relying solely on peers for guidance.


A Well-Structured Program 


The seminar was skillfully anchored by Mrs. Priya, ensuring a smooth and effective delivery of the program. Principal Mrs. Joan Rosario and Supervisor Mrs. Sapna Choudhary expressed their gratitude to the ex-students and counselors for their valuable contributions. Miss Kadambari and Mr. Pranay played a crucial role in making the program a success.

The End of 'King'e's Reigns: A Tribute to Mr. Sunil Kinge's Dedication


Today Tarapur Vidya Mandir and Jr. College bid farewell to a stalwart, Mr. Sunil Kinge, Supervisor of the Jr. College section, as he embarked on a well-deserved retirement journey. With a remarkable tenure spanning over 29 years, Mr. Kinge's contribution to the growth and development of the institution has been nothing short of phenomenal.


A Legacy of Excellence    


Mr. Kinge joined the school on July 1, 1996, and since then, he has been an integral part of the TVM family. His reputation as a Maths teacher is unparalleled, and his straightforward approach to teaching has earned him the respect and admiration of students and colleagues alike. His "do it yourself" methodology has instilled a sense of confidence and self-reliance in his juniors, helping them to become future leaders.


 A Heartfelt Farewell

The retirement program was a heartfelt tribute to Mr. Kinge's dedication and service. Principal Mrs. Joan Rosario and Principal designate Mrs. Linda George wished him a happy and fulfilling post-retirement life, expressing their gratitude for his tireless efforts and commitment to the institution. The program was attended by trustees Mr. Satish Walekar, Mr. Prakash Raut, and Chief administrator Mr. Rajesh Santalani, who all praised Mr. Kinge's contributions to the school.

TARAPUR VIDYA MANDIR SHINES IN STATE-LEVEL UNDER-17 CRICKET TOURNAMENT



In a remarkable achievement, the Under-17 cricket team of Tarapur Vidya Mandir represented the Mumbai division at the state-level cricket tournament organized by the District Sports Officer, Solapur. The tournament brought together eight winning teams from various divisions across the state, and our team secured an impressive third position.


The journey to the state-level tournament began with the team's triumph at the Mumbai division level, where they emerged as winners. This victory earned them a desirable spot to represent the Mumbai division at the state-level tournament.


The Tarapur Vidya Mandir team's success is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and teamwork displayed by the players, their sports teachers, and coaches. The team's achievement is a proud moment for the school, and a motivation for the students to continue striving for excellence in their chosen fields.

Tarapur Vidya Mandir Students Organize Beach Cleanliness Drive at Nandgaon Beach

158 Scout and Guide Students Participate in Drive, Gram Panchayat Nandgaon Extends Support.


Tarapur, March 15, 2025: In a commendable effort to promote cleanliness and community service, students of Tarapur Vidya Mandir and Jr. College organized a beach cleanliness drive at Nandgaon Beach on Friday. The drive, which was participated by 158 Scout and Guide students, aimed to promote the importance of keeping public spaces clean and beautiful.

The Gram Panchayat Nandgaon extended their support to the initiative by providing a garbage collection van, which greatly facilitated the cleanliness drive. The students, who were accompanied by their teachers, Mrs. Vipra, Mrs. Preeti, Mr. Kishor, and Mr. Kunj, collected a significant amount of trash and debris from the beach.

Mr. Samir More, The Sarpanch, Grampanchayat Nandgaon, praised the initiative and encouraged others to follow the example set by the Tarapur Vidya Mandir students. "It's heartening to see young students taking the initiative to keep our public spaces clean. We should all follow their example and work towards creating a cleaner and more beautiful environment," he said.



The beach cleanliness drive was organized under the guidance of Mr. Pravin Baviskar, who is in charge of the Scout and Guide program at Tarapur Vidya Mandir. Mrs. Joan Rosario, the school's principal, also accompanied the students during the drive.

The students, who participated in the drive, expressed their excitement and enthusiasm for the initiative. "It was a different experience for us, and we enjoyed every moment of it. We're looking forward to participating in more such social work programs in the future," said one of the students.

TVM SCHOOL RESONATES WITH MELODIOUS VOICES AT INTERCOLLEGIATE SOLO SINGING COMPETITION




 Tarapur Vidya Mandir (TVM) School was abuzz with the sweet sounds of budding singers as it hosted the Intercollegiate Solo Singing Competition on 21 December, 24 in school auditorium. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 16 junior colleges, with TVM School emerging as the champion.



Miss. Shreya Chintaman More from TVM School secured the top position, winning the first prize. Miss Aastha Rakesh Yadav from Sanskruti Jr. College won the second prize, Tanisha Ratandeep Kamble from AECS School No 3 bagged the third prize. Kaushal Raut and Pragati Tripathi from U. S. Ostwal and M. K. Jr. College received the first and second consolation prizes, respectively.


The competition was judged by renowned singers and ex-students of TVM School, Mr. Niraj Langewar and Aditya Katkar, he is also a famous tabla player. The judges mesmerized the audience with their soulful performances after the competition.




Mr. Sunil Kinge, Supervisor of TVM Jr. College, congratulated the winners and expressed gratitude to the judges. Mr. Nitin delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the presence of all participants and guests.


The success of the event was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Jr. College teachers and volunteers. TVM School has once again demonstrated its commitment to provide a platform for students to showcase their talents and fostering overall development.

TVM SCHOOL SHINES AT MANTHAN INTER-SCHOOL COMPETITION HELD BY VIRAJ INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL


 In a spectacular display of academic excellence, Tarapur Vidya Mandir (TVM) School has achieved tremendous success at the Manthan Inter-School Competition, organized by Viraj International School, Boisar, on December 15, 2024.

The TVM School team has secured not one, but TWO FIRST PRIZES in the prestigious competition! The senior group, comprising students from standards 9 to 12, won the first prize in the Social Science Exhibition. Meanwhile, the junior group, consisting of students from standards 6 to 8, clinched the first prize in Mathematics.

The winning students, Miss. Deepika Dharmendra Singh, Mast. Shivang Sandeep Singh, Mast. Aditya Janardan Tiwari, and Aaradhya Rakesh Pimple, demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication to their subjects. Their outstanding performance was guided by the Department of Maths and Social Studies, who provided invaluable support and preparatory data.



Special appreciation goes to Mrs. Sabira, HOD of Social Studies, and Mrs. Namrata Patil, HOD of Maths, who took tremendous efforts to guide and prepare the students for the competition. Their leadership and expertise played a significant role in TVM School's triumph.

TARAPUR VIDYA MANDIR HOSTS SUCCESSFUL INTERSCHOOL STREET PLAY COMPETITION


In a groundbreaking initiative, Tarapur Vidya Mandir and Jr. College organized a thrilling Interschool Street Play Competition on November 30, 2024, within its school auditorium. This pioneering event marked the first of its kind in the area, showcasing the immense talent of local students.



The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from five schools, each presenting thought-provoking street plays that highlighted pressing social issues. The performances were met with thunderous applause, demonstrating the students' exceptional acting skills and dedication to their craft.


Atomic Energy Central School - 2 and Chinmaya Vidyalaya Boisar emerged as the winner and runner-up, respectively. Mr. Sanjay Kumar Dubey received the Best Director award, while Shifa Azmi took home the Best Actor award.


Renowned poet and writer Mr. Deepak Shrivastav, along with celebrated TV actor Miss Parnika Raut, judged the competition. Miss Raut, known for her roles in popular Marathi TV serials and films, shared valuable insights on acting skills with the students.


"This is a commendable initiative by Tarapur Vidya Mandir, setting a shining example for other schools to follow," praised Mr. Shrivastav.
